Toccoa Amateur Radio Society 2 Meter Net

Alert Test Format

 

1. “This is (your call sign), Net Control. This is ONLY a TEST. Please standby.”

2. “This is (your call sign), Net Control Station for the Toccoa Amateur Radio Society 2 Meter Net.”

3. “In the interest of Amateur Radio and Emergency Service, this TEST net is called for the purpose of preparation and readiness of the Toccoa Amateur Radio Society 2 Meter Net. Again this is ONLY a TEST.”

4. “This will ONLY be a check-in net. No rag chew or traffic, unless it is emergency traffic will be handled in this TEST.”

5. “The Toccoa Amateur Radio Society 2 Meter Net is under the direction of the Net Manager and supported by the Toccoa Amateur Radio Society Club.”

6. “In the event of an emergency this net will be activated. Direct and clear all communications through Net Control.”

7. “Now I will start taking check-ins. Please check-in in a formal manner by calling the Net Control Station, and then drop your carrier. Next give only your Call Sign and location and then standby. Again this is just a TEST.”

8. ‘At this time all amateurs in the range of this repeater can check-in.”

 

**** Note: Take check-ins until you cannot get anymore, and then secure the net.

 

9. “This is (your call sign), Net Control for the Toccoa Amateur Radio Society 2 Meter Emergency Test Net, thanking ALL stations who have participated in the Alert-Test. Your readiness has been greatly appreciated. All stations may now secure. This is (your call sign) out.”
