1. “Calling all Amateurs, calling all Amateurs, this is (your call sign), Net Control calling the Simulated Emergency Test Net.” 2. “Net Control is (your call sign), name and location.” 3. “This is a S E T (Simulated Emergency Test) drill…Again this is a drill.” 4. “This is a directed net. Direct all communications through this Net Control Station.” 5. “The purpose of this drill is to train Amateurs to be more proficient in operating in the event of an emergency.” 6. “This is a drill. The reason this net was called is: ___________________________________________

7. “Traffic coming into this net should be originated as to: number of people in shelters, needs: (food, light, generators, medical supplies, personal needs), problems: (shelters filled, personnel needed to man shelters, building leakage), etc.” 8. “Make your traffic around these problems and others.” 9. Remember to state BEFORE and AFTER each transmission “THIS IS A DRILL.” 10. “This is a Drill and this is (your call sign) for the Toccoa Amateur Radio Society 2 Meter Net now inviting your participation in the Simulated Emergency Test.” 11. “When checking-in give your Call Sign and location, and then standby unless you have traffic for this net. Now I will take check-ins, check-ins call (your call sign).”
*** Note: Coordinate all the traffic and get all the check-ins you can then secure the net.
12. “This is (your call sign) now securing the Toccoa Amateur Radio Society 2 Meter Simulated Emergency Test Net and thanking you for your participation. At this time I will return the repeater back to normal amateur use.” |
